Wedding on the Dunes

Some 16 years ago, we decided to get married on the dunes at Silver Lake, MI. Why? We wanted to be married at our favorite place -- on the dunes. We had about 40 people attend and were brought in by Mac Woods Dune Scooter's. This area of the sand dunes is restricted to all other vechiles except for Mac Woods. As well it is a private area and is off limits to pedistrians. However, we hired them to bring our wedding party out there.

It was a beautiful warm, sunny day and no wind -- which is critical to a wedding on the dunes! We had lawn chairs, guitar music, an isle runner, flowers and six ministers. So it was official, we got hitched in style. Every year we look at the spot where we got married and the trees have now been almost covered with sand. We show our kids the spot we got married and they think it's neat. Well enjoy the photos below.
